Born in Belgrade, Serbia, studied physics, piano and flute, and played in rock bands around former Yugoslavia. He joined the Hare Krishna movement in 1986 and traveled with kirtan groups around Europe and India. He left the movement in 1992 and continued on his path as an independent devotional artist. Bhairavesh moved to USA in 1998 and he now lives in Asheville, North Carolina running a flute repair business, performing kirtan, and playing with Arundas band.
